Real-time ride requests for passengers and drivers
Requesting or accepting a ride had to happen in seconds, in environments where users don’t have time to think, explore, or learn.

Designing for speed in real-world ride requests
The problem
• Different users with opposite goals (passengers-drivers)
• Time-sensitive decisions in real-world environments
• No existing system to guide behavior or expectations
• High risk of hesitation in critical moments
• Need for immediate understanding without instruction
What I changed
• Designed separate flows tailored to each user’s context
• Reduced decision-making to the essential at each step
• Made primary actions immediately visible and clear
• Built a consistent system across both experiences
• Prioritized speed over feature depth
Insight
In this context, even small delays break the experience.
Clarity isn’t a feature, it’s what makes action possible.
Impact
An experience designed to reduce hesitation in time-critical moments, enabling faster decisions and smoother ride requests in real-world conditions.
The product wasn’t about adding features, it was about enabling immediate decisions.
